Ocean Import Coordinator Location: Central Birmingham Salary: Up to £36,000 (DOE) As a recruiter partnering with a growing and ambitious freight forwarding business based in central Birmingham, I'm currently looking to recruit an Ocean Import Coordinator to join their expanding team. The Role: Managing the end-to-end ocean import process Coordinating FCL and LCL import shipments Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers Preparing and checking import documentation Tracking shipments and providing proactive updates to customers Ensuring customs clearance processes are completed accurately Resolving queries and issues in a timely and professional manner Maintaining accurate records within freight systems The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in ocean freight imports (essential) Strong understanding of import documentation and procedures Excellent communication and customer service skills Well organised with strong attention to detail Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment A proactive and team-focused approach What's on Offer: Salary up to £36,000, depending on experience 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Office based role in central Birmingham A supportive and collaborative working culture Clear progression opportunities within a growing business Company-paid holiday away in Europe, rewarding team success and performance This role offers far more than just a job-it's a chance to join a business that values its team, rewards hard work, and creates a positive, engaging working environment.
